Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead complex IT initiatives and guide teams through structured, agile delivery. This Long-term Contract position is based in Avondale, Arizona, and is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can balance strategic oversight with hands-on coordination across project lifecycles. The role requires strong collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to use project management tools to keep work organized, on schedule, and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

Direct IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, scope, and deliverables remain on track.

Facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies and help teams maintain consistent progress across planned work.

Build and maintain detailed project plans, status updates, and risk logs for stakeholders and delivery teams.

Coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve issues, remove blockers, and support successful project execution.

Use Atlassian Jira to monitor task progress, manage backlogs, and improve visibility into team activities.

Partner with stakeholders to define priorities, align expectations, and communicate changes that affect delivery.

Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to reduce impact on schedule and quality.

Requirements

Proven experience managing IT projects in fast-paced business environments.

Strong working knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and team delivery practices.

PMP certification or a comparable project management credential.

Hands-on experience with Atlassian Jira for planning, tracking, and reporting project work.

Ability to lead meetings, communicate with stakeholders, and drive accountability across teams.

Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery oversight.
