Introduction & Summary:

This position seeks a skilled Proximity Developer to enhance Credit Solutions through bespoke software applications. The candidate will engage closely with front office teams to ensure robust proximity developments that meet operational requirements. Key competencies include experience in software development and a strong understanding of financial markets and derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Follow the in-house proximity development lifecycle, including user needs collection and solutions implementation.
• Conduct analysis and create specifications based on user needs.
• Propose multiple solution options to facilitate strategic decision-making.
• Implement and deliver software solutions, including support and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with relevant teams to align tools and resources with business needs.
• Provide training and perform skills assessments regularly.
• Ensure adherence to compliance rules within the team.
• Propose and lead new projects focused on innovative solutions and efficiency improvements.
• Provide timely progress updates to management.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of financial markets and commodities.
• Experience as a quant and in derivatives, both linear and non-linear.
• Proficiency in C++ and C# integration, focusing on object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns (e.g., n-tier, MVVM).
• Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments with business exposure.

• Experience within Financial Markets; Commodities experience preferred.
• Knowledge of options theory, volatility smile construction, and exotic options.
• Understanding of linear and non-linear risk, including curve marking and publishing.
