PU Land C4I, SW Developer, System Engineer

Project overview

Our client is looking for engineers and leaders for a variety of tasks and responsibilities as system engineers, integrators, testers, and SW developers, project managers. Preferably a combination depending on your experience and interest!

Your role

The client is growing rapidly and has a great need for knowledge and experience in several areas.

Do you have a solid technical interest, experience with software development, integration, testing, requirements engineering, architecture, IT security, project management? Perhaps you have experience from the armed forces?

You will be part of the Land department within the Command & Control product unit. It is a relatively small organization with about 75 people organized in a team-based program structure, which allows for working on multiple projects with coordination, flexibility, variety, but also continuity.

The business primarily focuses on their main client, the Swedish Army, but we also have export projects. The majority of the work takes place in Järfälla, where they have their development. However, their close customer collaboration sometimes involves work in other locations, primarily within Sweden.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in system development UX in larger architectures. We believe you are interested in the defense industry and see it as an advantage if you have a background in command/surveillance systems.

The Business Area Surveillance offers world-leading sensor technology for surveillance and decision support to protect against threats. You will be part of the Business Unit BU DBS (Digital Battlespace Solutions) and the Product Unit PU C2 (Command and Control). We are experts in C4I (Command, Control, Communication and Computer Information systems), which is one of Saab's core areas. Within the Land department, the digitalization of ground-based operations, preferably the army, is our area of expertise. Our C4I solutions implement functions with advanced IT security solutions in combination with Military-off-the-shelf (MOTS) hardware and software. Our end-users are broadly represented in the customer organization, from main headquarters to platoon and individual soldier, various unit types such as mechanized, artillery, CBRN, etc.

SW Developer

• Technical university education or equivalent experience, military education/technical officer is also valued.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Experience of system work in complex systems with both software and hardware.
• In-depth knowledge in a domain such as IT security, Windows virtualization, network management, GIS, Interoperability, GUI, etc.
• Extensive experience in software development (C++, C#, Python, PowerShell, Ada, Qt, WinForm).
• Experienced project/team leader of complex systems, experience from defense systems is a merit.
• Strong interest and knowledge in AI development and databases, cloud services.
• Experience of system design and interest in the overall picture.
