Public Order Lawyer (interim)

Project overview

As a lawyer for Public Order and Safety, you will support the municipality with legal questions regarding public order, safety, Bibob, APV, and subversion.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on legal issues concerning the Bibob Act, the APV, public order, integral safety, and subversion
• Providing legal assistance for closures, area bans, and enforcement decisions
• Assessing administrative reports and translating them into legally substantiated decisions
• Handling Woo requests
• Handling objection and (higher) appeal procedures
• Identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions
• Following developments within the field and applying them in practice
• Collaborating with enforcement, licensing, and policy departments
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience with complex cases in administrative law, mayoral powers, and special laws such as APV, hospitality, events, Bibob, and Woo
• 5 years or more of work experience within the government at a medium-sized or large municipality
• Completed WO (university) degree in Dutch law, preferably with a specialization in Constitutional and Administrative Law
• Political-administrative awareness and analytical skills
• Stress-resistant and integrous personality
• Strong skills in both oral and written communication
• Open attitude towards giving and receiving feedback
