Responsibilities

You can:

Tools: Playwright, Python, Java, GitLab, Git, Azure, AWS, MongoDB, Insomnia, VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Jira and Confluence.

Note: This role requires additional vetting, which may take longer than a standard onboarding process.

• Support the test lead with updates on testing activities, defects and quality findings
• Perform hands-on testing activities
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using the low-code framework, with knowledge of Playwright, Python and Java
• Work with developers, business analysts and product owners to validate requirements and acceptance criteria
• Test across Front End, Back End, API, integration, system, migration and end-to-end layers
• Create and maintain automated regression, smoke and sanity test packs
• Support automated test execution through GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to accessibility, performance and reliability testing
• Follow the team's testing standards, processes and best practice
• Raise testing risks, defects and quality concerns in a timely manner
• Create, run and maintain automated tests across UI, API, integration and system layers
• Support migration testing and data validation, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Develop and maintain API test suites
• Use Git and GitLab to manage test assets and support CI/CD testing
• Analyse requirements and create effective test scenarios and test cases
• Support defect triage, root cause analysis and quality reporting
• Communicate testing progress, issues and outcomes clearly
• Apply knowledge of accessibility, security and performance testing principles

£375/day, Inside IR35

A major public sector programme needs a QAT Analyst to do hands-on testing and build test automation, supporting the test lead and working closely with the delivery team.
