About the Role

Randstad Education is currently recruiting for an urgent, immediate start Qualified Maths Teacher (QTS) to join a dynamic secondary school in Chelmsford.

We are seeking a dedicated Maths specialist who can hit the ground running, deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and help maintain high standards of academic achievement across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Location: Chelmsford, Essex
• Position: Secondary Mathematics Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
• Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
• Contract: Temporary / Long-Term with Permanent Potential
• Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to pupils across KS3 and KS4.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress, tailoring teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and foster a positive, supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with department colleagues and school leadership to drive student attainment.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Strong secondary Maths curriculum knowledge and proven classroom teaching experience.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
• An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Paid directly to Teachers' Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).
• Dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
