Project overview

For our client, we are now looking for a Responsible for Change and Configuration Management.

Background:

AB Transitio is a company owned by twenty regions in Sweden. AB Transitio's mission is to procure, finance, manage, and lease rolling stock for regional railway traffic for our owners. The purpose is primarily to optimize the owners' vehicle costs and ensure high quality and competence in the areas of procurement, management, and maintenance. AB Transitio's employees act, conduct, and develop the business based on lack of prestige, mutual respect, transparency, community, and responsibility.

AB Transitio's Dosto fleet consists of 60 vehicles (rental objects) and these are currently distributed among two different lessees (Mälardalstrafik and Tåg i Bergslagen) with two railway companies operating the vehicles (Transdev and VR).

Assignment Description:

AB Transitio has ordered 13 new vehicles that will be integrated into the existing vehicle fleet. In connection with this, a consultant resource responsible for change and configuration management is being procured.

The assignment concerns a responsible resource for change and configuration management within the procurement of 13 new option vehicles to be integrated into the existing vehicle fleet. The resource shall lead, structure, and coordinate the project's work with technical changes and configuration control through the design phase, production, testing, and delivery.

In the initial stage of the assignment, the focus is on ensuring that the changes defined during the design phase are investigated, reviewed, decided upon, and implemented in time for assembly.

The resource shall coordinate the change work with the vehicle supplier and the internal project team. This includes planning and leading change meetings and technical reviews, gathering feedback from affected areas, and driving open issues to a decision.

The role includes responsibility for the project's configuration status and following up on implemented decisions.

The role requires a structured and driven approach, very good coordination skills, and the ability to handle many parallel issues. The resource must be able to understand technical contexts and communicate requirements and expectations to both the supplier and the project's internal functions.

Working Methods and Collaboration

The consultant will work in close collaboration with the project organization, the vehicle supplier, and other parties. The role requires very good communication and cooperation skills, a structured way of working, and a high degree of personal responsibility to ensure progress and consensus between actors.

Organization

Reporting will be to the project's Project Manager and the Vehicle Manager within the administration.

Work Equipment for Assignments at AB Transitio

The resource/supplier is responsible for the necessary work equipment related to the assignment.

AB Transitio cannot provide a workspace for the resource. Ongoing project work and coordination may take place as needed at AB Transitio's office in Stockholm, but most coordination can be done via online meetings and/or phone/email.

Start Date: 2027-01-11

End Date: 2027-12-31

Scope: 100% (The scope is full-time and the work is done in close collaboration and through daily contact with the rest of the project team and vehicle management.)

• Relevant technical university education or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
• At least four years of experience in change management, configuration management, or technical coordination in complex technical delivery projects.
• Documented experience in leading and coordinating technical changes from identified need and analysis to decision, implementation, and verification.
• Good knowledge of principles and processes for Configuration Management, including configuration identification, change control, and traceability.
• Experience in planning and leading cross-functional reviews and meetings with suppliers and internal project functions.
• Very good communication skills in spoken and written Swedish and English.
• Experience as Change Manager, Configuration Manager, or equivalent role in a railway vehicle project.
• Experience in change management during the design phase and implementation of decided changes in industrialization and series production.
• Good technical understanding of railway vehicles, vehicle systems, and interfaces between different technology areas.
• Experience in baseline management and control of hardware, software, and document configurations.
• Experience and understanding of working with the management of rolling stock within publicly funded operations.
• Knowledge of German, spoken and written.
• Good cooperation skills
• Good planning and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and structured with a high degree of responsibility.

Project details

Mälardalen (Stockholm/Västerås/Eskilstuna) but many meetings take place via Teams. Meetings and visits to the depot in Eskilstuna and at Finnslätten will occur regularly. Travel to the supplier in Switzerland and other travel in Europe may also be included in the role.

Compensation Form: Running account

Option: 6+6 months

Contractual Terms:

Terms for the assignment will be based on Ework's framework agreement with the client, which applies ABK 09 with certain deviations.
