Design, automate, and guarantee the high availability of Enterprise SAN arrays and networks for a major banking client.
As part of strengthening the production infrastructure engineering teams of a major banking and financial group, we are looking for a SAN Storage Expert. Within the IT Infrastructure and Production Department, your role will be crucial and highly strategic: you will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, automation, and level 4 (N4 / Expert Level) support of SAN (Storage Area Network) storage infrastructures hosting the SI's highly critical data.
Your Future Environment
You will work within the Storage & Backup expertise hub in the Paris region (with occasional travel to a second site in the Île-de-France region). In direct contact with infrastructure architects, project managers, system engineers (Windows/Linux), and international support teams based abroad, you will be the guarantor of the resilience, performance, and security of enterprise-grade storage arrays. You will work in a hybrid setup (with on-call duties and interventions outside of working hours - HNO - to be expected) and in an international context requiring full command of English.
Your Key Missions
Design, Architecture & Automation (BUILD & DEVOPS Mode):
N4 Expertise, DR/BCP & International Support (RUN & GOVERNANCE Mode):
- Design, architect, and manage the deployment of new enterprise-level SAN storage solutions and arrays.
- Write and validate engineering deliverables: General and Detailed Design Documents (DAT/DED), technology roadmaps, technical opinions, and security standards.
- Develop automation and reliability initiatives for SAN provisioning using scripts (PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash) and a DevOps approach.
- Ensure active technological watch on enterprise storage evolutions and lead strategic technical presentations.
- Provide expert-level technical support (N4) and act as the ultimate escalation point for complex or critical production incidents.
- Prepare, execute, and validate business continuity and disaster recovery tests (BCP / DR) on all arrays and replication matrices.
- Ensure knowledge transfer, write operational procedures, and technically lead international N1/N2/N3 support teams responsible for routine administration (fluent English essential).
- Rigorously apply ITIL best practices and monitor change and problem management through ITSM tools.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and carry out planned interventions outside of working hours (HNO).

- Experience: You have at least 10 years of experience (Referent Expert profile) in the design, advanced administration, and engineering of SAN storage infrastructures in an enterprise environment. Proven experience in the banking or financial sector is a major asset.
- Imperative SAN Storage Technical Expertise:
- Perfect mastery of SAN protocols and architectures: Fibre Channel (FC), iSCSI, FCoE.
- Recognized expertise on Tier-1 / Enterprise storage arrays (e.g., Dell PowerMax/PowerStore, IBM FlashSystem/DS8000, Pure Storage FlashArray, NetApp SAN, Hitachi VSP).
- Solid mastery of Fibre Channel switching (Brocade / SANnav, Cisco MDS).
- Excellent command of monitoring tools, zoning, synchronous/asynchronous replication, and SAN capacity management.
- Very good knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RedHat) host environments and virtualization layers (VMware vSphere / SAN datastores).
- Solid automation/scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash) and DevOps approach.
- Behavioral Skills & Languages:
- Fluent English essential (daily oral and written exchanges with international support teams).
- Rigor, in-depth analytical skills, and ability to resolve complex issues under high pressure.

- Tailored Career Path: Co-create a unique professional trajectory adapted to your ambitions.
- Strategic Missions: Participate in large-scale projects, perfectly aligned with your expertise.
- Dedicated Support: Benefit from structured annual management to ensure your continuous progress.
- Continuous Excellence: Develop your skills daily within a demanding ecosystem.
- Sustainable Performance: Evolve in an environment where business demands respect your work-life balance.
- Introductory call with a recruiter.
- Technical interview with in-depth technical assessment (Multi-site SAN architecture case study with synchronous replication, resolution of a critical FC zoning/performance incident, automation strategy via Python/PowerShell, and English level assessment).
- Final meeting to validate fit and project outlook.
