Work Environment

As part of the modernization of its BI system, our client is looking for an expert SAP BusinessObjects consultant to lead and execute the migration of its existing SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.2 environment to a new target platform. The mission covers the entire BI ecosystem: software components, data, universes, data sources, and existing reports.

• Audit and Scoping:
• Perform a complete inventory of the existing SAP BO environment.
• Analyze the architecture and identify potential technical risks.
• Develop a detailed migration plan and propose a suitable methodology.
• Installation and Configuration of the Target Environment:
• Install and configure the testing and production environments.
• Implement security settings and access rights.
• Prepare the target platform for migration.
• Migration of the SAP BO Ecosystem:
• Migrate data and software components.
• Ensure the migration of universes and data sources (DataSources).
• Guarantee the recovery of existing reports and functionalities.
• Qualification and Acceptance:
• Perform technical and functional tests.
• Support users during acceptance testing phases (UAT).
• Identify and correct any anomalies.
• Deployment and Skills Transfer:
• Oversee the go-live of the new platform.
• Ensure skills transfer to technical teams.
• Write technical and functional documentation.
• Training:
• Train administration teams on the new platform.
• Support development teams in mastering the target environment.
• Confirmed expertise on SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.2.
• Significant experience in migrating SAP BusinessObjects platforms.
• Mastery of SAP BO administration and configuration.
• Good knowledge of SAP BO universes, reports, and data sources.
• Experience in managing testing and production environments.
• Mastery of qualification, testing, and user acceptance phases.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and ensure skills transfer.
