Project overview
This contract role leads integration architecture and governance for a SAP Futures transformation, with an initial focus on the SuccessFactors landscape and subsequent work across Finance, Student and People Services. The core requirements are SAP integration leadership on a major transformation, hands-on SuccessFactors integration knowledge, SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and SAP PO/PI experience, and the ability to define target architectures, catalogues, decommissioning plans and integration strategy.
The role assures the systems integrator’s designs and delivery against scope; it does not build the SuccessFactors interfaces or own Basis configuration. Higher education, SLcM/student interfaces, HESA reporting, identity integrations, Concur, S/4HANA and third-party payroll or benefits integrations are desirable. The structured experience band is 6–8 years, and the location is Leicester; work mode is not specified. The description does not state a different experience band or work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Act as integration lead at Technical Review Board and design authority sessions.
- Keep integration risks, issues and dependencies current in the programme RAID log, and report progress weekly to the SAP Technical Programme Manager.
- Work with Basis on Integration Suite environments, access and connectivity.
- A signed-off SuccessFactors To-Be integration architecture, with the pattern and owner confirmed for every People Services interface.
- A decommissioning plan for interfaces and manual processes that can be retired after SuccessFactors go-live, plus the list of those that must stay until S/4HANA.
- One maintained integration catalogue covering Finance, Student and People Services, with an agreed process for keeping it current.
- A complete list of Student interfaces.
- A SAP Futures integration strategy aligned to the DMU Integration Strategy, including the PO to Integration Suite roadmap and the integration governance and support model.
- The Integration Lead owns integration design and the catalogue. These stay elsewhere
- Build and delivery of SuccessFactors interfaces — NTT DATA under the Statement of Work. This role assures their work rather than building it.
- Concur identity and ICS add-on decisions — SAP Technical Programme Manager.
- Integration Suite tenants, access and Basis configuration — SAP Basis team. This role sets requirements.
Requirements
- SAP integration lead or architect experience on a major transformation programme
- SAP SuccessFactors integration knowledge, especially Employee Central to ECC/ECP
- Integration Center and standard packaged SuccessFactors integrations
- SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and SAP PO/PI experience, including migration from PO to Integration Suite
- Creating To-Be integration architectures and interface decommissioning plans
- Building and maintaining integration catalogues across business areas
- Writing integration strategies covering principles, patterns, governance and support models
- Reviewing systems integrator designs and assuring delivery against scope
- Communicating with HR, Finance, Student and D&T stakeholders
