The Opportunity

We are looking for a senior, hands-on SAP Integrated Product Development (IPD) Consultant for a major SAP transformation within the automotive/discrete manufacturing sector.

This is an important distinction: we specifically need IPD experience relevant to discrete manufacturing.

We are not looking for consultants whose product-development background is primarily within process industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & beverage or consumer products, where the focus has been predominantly on recipes, formulations and specification management.

The required experience needs to relate to complex engineered products and the design-to-manufacturing life cycle.

This is particularly relevant in automotive, where products consist of complex assemblies, components, engineering structures and multiple revisions that need to move accurately from engineering into manufacturing.

We do not expect someone to have spent 10 or 15 years specifically working with IPD.

What matters is a deep understanding of SAP product development within discrete manufacturing, combined with genuine implementation experience across the newer EPD/IPD landscape.
