SAP PM Process Lead for Shutdown Management

Project overview

For an industrial site in Hoboken, processes around shutdowns will be structurally anchored in SAP PM, with a focus on business and process design.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Analyze the current shutdown preparation together with the shutdown team, work planners, production, and warehouse
• Identify recurring shutdown tasks suitable for standardization
• Develop the desired process and the SAP PM structure (functional locations, equipment, task lists, maintenance plans, work orders, bills of materials, material reservations, and document links)
• Prepare a plan of approach with scope, timing, roles, and success criteria
• Translate the tasks of the pilot installation into task lists and maintenance plans in SAP PM
• Link spare parts and materials to the correct tasks
• Connect quality and safety documents to the relevant objects
• Set up follow-up via standard reports or list views
• Collaborate with SAP key users and IT for necessary configuration or master data changes
• Evaluate and refine the pilot together with users
• Prepare work instructions and training materials
• Guide shutdown coordinators, work planners, and maintenance staff in the new working method
• Roll out the approach to other shutdowns and process feedback
• Ensure knowledge transfer through process documentation and ownership by key users
• Inform the responsible manager about progress and potential risks
• Minimum 8 years of experience with maintenance planning, work preparation, or coordination of shutdowns in the (petro)chemical, metallurgical, or comparable process industry
• Expert knowledge of SAP PM with demonstrable experience in setting up, evaluating, or adapting SAP PM processes
• Familiarity with functional locations, equipment, task lists, maintenance plans, notifications, work orders, bills of materials, and material reservations
• Experience in setting up or restructuring a maintenance or shutdown process in SAP PM, preferably coming from working with Excel or MS Project
• Strong insight into shutdown preparation, such as scoping, job packages, permits, releases, spare parts, and contractor management
• Technical background in mechanics or electromechanics, or comparable experience
• Experience with MS Project and advanced Excel knowledge as a plus
• Fluent command of Dutch, both spoken and written
• Good command of English for SAP terminology and documentation
• Presence on the site in Hoboken required, especially during preparation and execution of shutdowns
