With a Master's degree / engineering school degree in embedded systems, avionics, electronics, automation, or space engineering, you ideally have significant initial experience in validation, IVVQ, or functional testing in the space sector.

For an aerospace client in Toulouse, we are looking for a Satellite Functional Validation Engineer who will be involved in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of VCF tests (Functional Chain Validation: satellite avionics tests).

• Analyze satellite system and operational requirements.
• Develop test plans and procedures.
• Define satellite functional and operational validation scenarios.
• Prepare test equipment and associated data sets.
• Conduct test campaigns on validation benches and satellite simulators.
• Verify the proper functioning of complete functional chains:
• Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS)
• Flight Software
• Telecommand and Telemetry (TM/TC)
• Platform subsystems
• Ground segment
• Analyze data from tests.
• Verify compliance with satellite system requirements.
• Write validation reports.
• Identify and characterize satellite anomalies.
• Participate in technical investigations.
• Propose and validate corrective actions.
• Validation of LEOP and commissioning procedures.
• Validation of orbital maneuvers.
• Participation in operational rehearsals before launch.
• Support for in-orbit acceptance phases.
• Functional validation of satellite systems or subsystems, ideally on test benches or simulators.
• Writing and executing test plans, procedures, and scenarios, as well as analyzing and interpreting results.
• Good understanding of satellite architectures and their subsystems: AOCS, Flight Software, TM/TC, satellite platform, ground segment.
• Practice in managing and investigating anomalies encountered during test campaigns.
• Knowledge of satellite operational phases such as LEOP, commissioning, orbital maneuvers, or in-orbit acceptance, appreciated.
• Ability to work from system requirements and ensure traceability between requirements and validation results.
• Operational technical English is highly desirable in this environment.
