About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with 7+ years of experience and extensive, proven hands-on experience in banking to join the AFC (Anti-Financial Crime) System Management Unit within the Financial Crime Risk Management Department.

You will support the AML/KYC/CARS/EDD/Tax Value Stream, focusing on new CARS implementation, Transaction Monitoring requirements and implementation, Salesforce migration initiatives, and configuration support for Application Owners.

Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will translate requirements into solutions, improve financial crime processes, and support the implementation of AFC capabilities.

Extensive practical banking experience is essential. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on delivery experience in AML/AFC; theoretical knowledge alone is insufficient.

The technical interview will assess SQL skills in depth, including how and why to use different joins, how to optimize queries at scale, and how to extract complex, hard-to-identify data.

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for AFC systems and processes.
• Support new CARS implementation and Salesforce migration initiatives.
• Design, implement, and maintain Transaction Monitoring scenarios and business rules.
• Support Application Owners with CARS and Transaction Monitoring configuration.
• Develop and improve customer risk scoring models and investigation workflows.
• Analyze customer and payment data, including ETL processes, using SQL and Python.
• Apply process mining and data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Produce technical specifications, typology documentation, implementation documentation, analytical reports, and presentations.
• Support change management and collaborate across business and technology teams in Agile delivery environments.
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with extensive, proven practical experience in banking.
• Strong hands-on expertise in banking AML/AFC and Financial Crime Risk Management.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Transaction Monitoring scenarios.
• Practical experience in business rules design and implementation.
• Expertise in customer risk scoring models.
• Experience designing and optimizing investigation workflows.
• Strong knowledge of AML/AFC processes, methodologies, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines.
• Strong requirements analysis, workflow design, process mining, and change management experience.
• Experience producing technical and typology documentation, technical specifications, and implementation documentation.
• Experience preparing analytical reports and presentations.
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Advanced, practical SQL skills, including complex data extraction, appropriate join selection, and query optimization across datasets containing millions of records.
• Python proficiency for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong statistical and data analysis skills.
• Experience with customer and payment data ETL processes.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Kubernetes, and Kafkabat.
• Experience with Power BI and Tableau.
• AWS knowledge.
