With your energy, it's possible

Up-to-date and reliable asset registration is essential for the safety and continuity of the electricity and gas network. As a Senior Business Consultant Asset Registration, you will work on an urgent, organization-wide improvement task. You will bring together strategy, operations, IT, and change management, ensuring that complex improvement initiatives deliver tangible results.

You will work within the Asset Registration Steering Group on the completion and structural safeguarding of 18 initiatives. These initiatives focus on, among other things, asset registration, schematic registration, data quality, process improvement, chain collaboration, KPI steering, IT support, and personnel capacity.

The assignment

The quality, timeliness, and up-to-dateness of asset registration are under pressure. Revisions are not always processed on time, meaning the current picture of the network situation is not always reliable. This can lead to safety risks, operational disruptions, and increased workload for drafting rooms and GEN processors, among others. Furthermore, supervision from SODM has intensified. If Enexis does not comply with the set guidelines, there is a risk of a fine of €1.5 million.

The original assignment included 9 short-term measures. At the request and decision of the KVO, the scope has been expanded to 18 initiatives. The Asset Registration Steering Group monitors coherence, progress, and decision-making. The initiatives are primarily managed and executed by GV&N in collaboration with BVN, Production, IT, Procurement, contractors, and other relevant organizational units.

Your role

As a Senior Business Consultant Asset Registration:

you will bring coherence to the 18 initiatives;

you will organize progress and decision-making;

you will advise the Asset Registration Steering Group, the KVO, and other relevant bodies;

you will analyze bottlenecks, risks, dependencies, and opportunities;

you will connect stakeholders from different parts of the organization;

you will ensure that results are achieved and structurally safeguarded;

you will ensure careful completion or handover to the line organization.

You can easily switch between strategic, tactical, and operational levels, while maintaining an overview of the entire change process without losing sight of the substantive details.

Your main tasks

Management and coordination

Drafting and keeping up-to-date the overall overview of the 18 initiatives.

Monitoring scope, planning, progress, quality, and coherence.

Coordinating actions between GV&N, BVN, Production, IT, Procurement, contractors, and other involved parties.

Organizing meetings, work sessions, and decision-making.

Preparing escalations when progress, safety, or quality demands it.

Analysis and advice

Analyzing the causes of lagging quality and timeliness of asset registration.

Mapping dependencies between processes, systems, capacity, and organization.

Translating analyses into concrete improvement proposals and actionable measures.

Advising on structural safeguarding in processes, governance, working methods, systems, and roles.

Identifying risks to safety, data quality, compliance, and operational continuity.

Change and stakeholder management

Creating support for improvements throughout the entire chain.

Developing and executing a change narrative about the importance of good asset registration.

Increasing awareness of data quality and everyone's role in it.

Connecting management, operations, IT, chain partners, and contractors.

Guiding the transition of project results to the line organization.

Decision-making and reporting

Drafting progress reports for the Asset Registration Steering Group.

Preparing decision documents, briefing notes, and management summaries.

Tracking risks, issues, dependencies, and outstanding decisions.

Reporting on progress, results, bottlenecks, and required actions.

Providing clear handover documentation per initiative.

The 18 improvement initiatives

The initiatives focus on the following topics:

Standardizing the delivery of multi-line revisions with one Enexis-wide measurement specification and adjustments in the Wibon app.

Ensuring timely processing of revision schedules by having sufficient data processing capacity per location.

Implementing KPI steering on asset registration and network mutations.

Designing and implementing GEN Hubs North and South.

Standardizing the quality and format of management maps via the Map Committee.

Ensuring timely gas revision processing according to SODM requirements.

Making schematic maps suitable for new low-voltage (LS) schematics.

Making schematic maps suitable for new medium-voltage (MS) schematics.

Structurally adding 'as-built' drawings to project areas in GEN and Lovion Viewer.

Developing and executing a change narrative about asset registration.

Implementing strategic workforce planning for GEN processors.

Automating revision processing with field office and measurement software based on NLCS++.

Executing a BIM pilot for managing and sharing standards within the Production Streams.

Developing and implementing BMR 3.0 with AI and image recognition.

Applying 3D scanning for accessible and compact stations.

Realizing a conscious procurement strategy for external agencies and working towards alternative contract arrangements.

Executing a UBS pilot for PILS with pre-prepared execution plans and 'as-built' drawings.

Increasing GEN processing capacity through offshore processing via contractors.

Deliverables

At the end of the assignment, the initiatives will be demonstrably completed or formally transferred to the line organization. For each initiative, the following will be documented:

what the objective and current status is;

which results have been achieved;

which risks, issues, and dependencies are still open;

which decisions have been made and which decisions are still needed;

who owns the follow-up steps;

how structural safeguarding will take place.

In addition, you will deliver the following results:

With a clear description of achieved results, outstanding actions, ownership, and follow-up.

Safeguarding advice

With advice on structural safeguarding in processes, governance, working methods, reports, systems, and the line organization.
