Senior Cyber Security Engineer - Stockholm - 5 months+
One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer.

Candidate Profile
The client is not simply looking for a traditional SOC Analyst. They need a senior, hands-on Cyber Security Engineer who combines strong expertise in Microsoft's security ecosystem with broader technical leadership capabilities.
An ideal profile should demonstrate concrete experience with Microsoft Sentinel + Defender XDR + SIEM/detection engineering + SOC/Cyber Defense, together with previous responsibility for leading technical initiatives and introducing structure and improvements in less mature security environments.

- Engineer and improve SOC capabilities across Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, security telemetry, detections, integrations, and analyst workflows.
- Establish and improve engineering processes for:
- Service ownership
- Lifecycle management
- Change control
- Monitoring
- Documentation
- Risk tracking
- Technical roadmaps
- Lead technical initiatives across Cyber Defense Engineering, SOC, and dependent platform or application teams.
- Assess immature or unclear operating environments, propose pragmatic structures, and drive the actual implementation, rather than merely making product recommendations.
- Strong practical experience within SOC or Cyber Defense Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR.
- Experience with SIEM engineering.
- Experience with telemetry onboarding.
- Experience with log pipelines.
- Experience with security integrations.
- Experience with detection engineering.
- Azure certifications are required.
- Senior technical level, such as Technical Lead or Principal-level Individual Contributor.
- Proven experience successfully leading SOC engineering initiatives.
- Experience improving engineering processes across multiple teams.
- Formal people management experience is not required.
