Assignment description

Department information

You will work with colleagues in the OT DataHub team. You will collaborate closely with the product owner, data engineers, a data architect, and DQ specialists. You will also regularly coordinate with OT Security, IT, and business colleagues. We have an open culture where every opinion counts. Although we primarily work at the office, you can work from home when you are developing your plans.

Activities

As a Senior Data Consultant, you are not only the connecting link between OT stakeholders and the OT DataHub team, but you also take the lead in the entire process from idea development to product implementation. You ensure that complex data questions are clearly formulated into concrete assignments. By using Agile/SAFe methodology, you monitor the efficiency and quality of data products while collaborating with the program manager, product owner, data engineers, and data architects for maximum impact.

Your role includes guiding realizations, removing obstacles, and coordinating all involved teams to achieve a streamlined and effective solution.

Responsibilities

Organize and lead intake sessions to identify the problem, define the value and impact, and establish the scope and success criteria.

Formulate clear data contracts for each data product with details on sources, definitions, quality, and responsibilities.

Proactively monitor and improve data quality through sharp KPIs and a fixed improvement cycle (PDCA).

Break down complex questions into workable epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria that your team can directly work on.

Ensure the acceptance and effective rollout of data products: plan UAT, document results, and manage the handover to operations and inform users.

Stimulate the adoption of data products: provide educational materials, manage licenses and subscriptions, and continuously gather feedback to further improve processes.

Requirements

University work and thinking level (e.g., Business Administration or Information Science) or equivalent.

5-10 years of relevant experience in consultancy, information analysis, or product ownership, preferably with data in an operational environment.

Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies and translating requirements into a clear backlog.

Demonstrable experience with data products, quality agreements, and guiding acceptance and rollout.

Familiar with one or more tools/techniques such as SQL, Spark, Snowflake, Matillion, DBTcore, ETL, AWS / Azure.

Language proficiency: Good command of Dutch and English.
