Senior Data Quality Engineer

Our client is a large, international leader in the telecommunications industry from the Benelux region. The cooperation is long-term in the form of internal IT team upstaffing, which guarantees stability, lack of rigid project-specific limitations, and real influence on data management architecture and standards on a large scale.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and developing Data Quality rules and frameworks in distributed data ecosystems.
• Managing data quality, metadata, and Data Lineage processes using the Collibra platform.
• Creating SQL queries, Python scripts, and Bash automation for profiling, cleaning, validating, and monitoring data correctness.
• Working with large-scale datasets using Apache Spark.
• Identifying data anomalies, performing root cause analysis, and implementing preventive control mechanisms.
• Collaborating with Data Engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data quality metrics and SLA indicators.
• Integrating data quality tests with CI/CD pipelines and orchestration processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in data engineering or data quality assurance (Data Quality / Data Governance).
• Fluent, proven by many years of practice, knowledge of Python and advanced SQL.
• Practical experience in data processing using Apache Spark.
• Commercial experience working with the Collibra tool (data cataloging, defining quality rules, Data Governance).
• Very good knowledge of the Linux environment and Bash scripting.
• Fluent knowledge of English (min. B2/C1) enabling free communication in an international team.
• Good knowledge of French (FR) OR Dutch (NL) (a necessary condition for contact with Benelux teams).
• Availability for a quick project start (immediately or with a short notice period).
