Senior Data Scientist

Project overview

As part of strengthening a specialized Data and Artificial Intelligence team, we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to participate in the design, development, and production deployment of Data/AI solutions. You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from understanding business needs and data exploration to the development, deployment, and monitoring of models in production. Topics may concern Machine Learning as well as Generative AI, particularly LLMs, embeddings, RAG, fine-tuning, and AI assistants/agents.

You will primarily work with Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Airflow.

Profile Sought

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with proven experience in Python, SQL, Machine Learning, and the GCP environment. You have a good command of BigQuery and Airflow and have already participated in the industrialization of Data/AI solutions. Experience with Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or embeddings topics is particularly sought after. You are also comfortable with GitHub or GitLab, CI/CD practices, and MLOps issues. Beyond the technical aspect, you know how to interact with business teams, understand their needs, and translate them into concrete Data/AI solutions.

Work Environment

You will join a Data/AI team working in close collaboration with business units, Product Owners, Data Engineers, and AI Engineers. The technical environment includes Python, SQL, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Airflow, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD, as well as technologies related to Machine Learning and Generative AI. The mission is based in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, with a required presence of 3 days per week on-site.
