Senior Java Microservices Developer

Project overview

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Boot Microservices, and database development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. Experience with Azure Cloud technologies is highly desirable.

Design and development of Microservices-based architectures.

Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube.

Pre-Screen Questions:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using Core Java and Spring Boot Microservices.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, and QA teams.
• Follow Agile development methodologies and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD implementation and application modernization initiatives.
• 7+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in designing and developing enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.
• Proven experience building cloud-ready, distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong understanding of Java fundamentals, OOP concepts, Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, Exception Handling, JVM, and Performance Tuning.
• Experience with Java 8+ features including Streams, Lambda Expressions, and Functional Programming.

• Service communication patterns, resiliency, fault tolerance, and distributed system concepts.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Can you describe your experience working with Core Java and the Spring Framework? Specifically, what types of applications have you built using Spring (e.g., MVC, Security, Data), and what design patterns or principles do you commonly apply?
• Have you developed RESTful APIs using Spring Boot? Please share an example of a microservice you've built, what was its purpose, how did you handle request/response mapping, and how did you test it?
