Senior/Lead Frontend Web Developer - Scientific Imaging

Project overview

As a senior and lead frontend web developer specializing in scientific imaging, you will build and maintain a coherent web experience for exploring research imaging data and results. You will support existing applications developed with React and TypeScript, including MRI and histology viewers, and develop a central portal for accessing authorized applications, studies, and datasets.

You will define navigation links between applications that preserve scientific context without overriding the access controls specific to each application. You will progressively share common elements where it provides a concrete benefit, while preserving tools adapted to each imaging modality. In conjunction with the scientific, product, data, backend, and security teams, you will transform needs into documented, secure, and efficient workflows. You will also contribute to testing, accessibility, delivery quality, and improving the loading and rendering performance of images.

Profile

Solid experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js on applications maintained in production.

Proficiency in API integration, automated testing, Git, and continuous integration and delivery practices.

Experience with data-rich interfaces, with particular attention to performance, adaptability, and accessibility.

Understanding of web-side authentication and authorization, and ability to work with sensitive data.

Ability to collaborate with scientific, technical, and security teams. Experience in medical or scientific imaging is appreciated.
