Senior Lean Coach – Karlskoga

Project overview

We are now looking for a Senior Lean Coach for a consulting assignment with our client, a leading player in the defense industry. The assignment involves supporting and developing the production organization in their work with Lean, business development, and long-term improvement efforts.

We are looking for someone with solid experience in implementing Lean in larger organizations and who is confident in coaching, challenging, and developing leaders. You have the ability to translate Lean principles into concrete working methods and create sustainable changes in a complex production environment.

About the assignment

As a Senior Lean Coach, you will work closely with the production organization to strengthen the understanding, application, and development of the client's production system. You will have a central role in developing Lean leadership and ensuring that principles, methods, and standards become a natural part of daily work.

Responsibilities

• Supporting managers and business developers in analyzing the current situation, identifying needs, and prioritizing actions related to Lean and the production system.
• Coaching and developing leaders in Lean leadership with a focus on principles, working methods, and desired behaviors.
• Identifying, prioritizing, and driving improvement initiatives in areas such as production flows, visualization, and standardization.
• Ensuring that improvement work is conducted in line with common Lean principles, methods, and standards.
• Challenging and guiding the organization in the change process to create a long-term sustainable and robust production system.
• Contributing to knowledge transfer, learning, and experience exchange between different production operations.
• The role requires both strategic understanding and operational capability. You are expected to be a present and driving coach who can create engagement, clarity, and progress in the organization's Lean work.

Other information

• At least approximately 8–10 years of experience in leading and driving Lean implementation in large companies or organizations, preferably within industry or production.
• Documented experience of working closely with production organizations, managers, and management teams.
• Solid practical experience in Lean implementation and change management, with the ability to translate theory and principles into concrete results.
• Very good ability to coach, support, and challenge managers and key personnel, even in situations requiring clear and uncomfortable messages.
• Experience in structuring, prioritizing, and driving improvement work as well as developing sustainable working methods.
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English.
• Experience in developing, implementing, or working with production systems or operations systems at a company or business area level.
