£570 per day

OUT OF HOURS: Evening, overnight and weekend change windows are required. Typically one out-of-hours change per week, with no more than two per week. Mid-week changes tend to be lower risk, with higher-risk changes taking place at weekends.

LEGAL RIGHT TO WORK: Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Gibbs Consulting is supporting a major customer within the banking and financial services industry. We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Technical Delivery Manager to lead critical network remediation and infrastructure change across a large-scale enterprise environment.

Job Overview

The programme focuses on remediating end-of-life and end-of-support network components to reduce security vulnerabilities, maintain vendor support and improve operational resilience.

This is a hands-on technical delivery leadership role requiring strong network knowledge, Agile delivery experience and accountability for the full change lifecycle, including out-of-hours implementations.

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of core network remediation and infrastructure change.
• Own delivery plans, milestones, governance, reporting, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Manage technical teams, senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers, resolving delivery challenges and competing priorities.
• Personally drive change planning, scheduling, approvals, implementation, validation and closure.
• Lead evening, overnight and weekend network changes as required.
• Manage resources, costs and supplier performance.
• Demonstrate clear business value through measurable delivery outcomes, risk reduction and operational improvements.
• Proven experience delivering complex enterprise network infrastructure, remediation or transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of core network technologies and enterprise network environments.
• Mandatory hands-on Jira and Confluence experience, with practical application within Agile delivery frameworks.
• Strong planning, tracking, reporting and governance skills, including RAID management.
• Demonstrable experience personally owning end-to-end technical change delivery, rather than solely overseeing suppliers.
• Track record of achieving measurable business outcomes and benefits.
• Excellent stakeholder management and third-party supplier coordination.
• ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM/change management experience.
• PRINCE2, APMP or equivalent project management accreditation.
• Availability to lead out-of-hours implementations.
• End-of-life/end-of-support network remediation.
• Banking or financial services experience.
• Jira Align, BT Managed Services or network services insourcing.
• Knowledge of network security, cloud networking, SDN, datacentre networking and high availability.
