Project overview

For Gasunie, Harvey Nash is looking for a Senior Process Engineer.

For this assignment, we are open to one contract type: Employment - Grading in accordance with the current Gasunie Collective Labour Agreement. No freelance opportunities.

WarmtelinQ, a department of Gasunie, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer (WTB) to tackle the technical challenges for the energy transition project currently underway in South Holland.

Where will you work?

Location is The Hague or Groningen. Flexible deployment, willingness to travel and work at locations in South Holland (Rotterdam/Leiden region) due to consultation with engineering firms and installations, and Groningen due to engineering team collaboration.

Deployment 24 hours per week (max 1840 hours per week based on full-time/pro rata), possibly scaling up if necessary.

Duration of the assignment: ASAP until 30-06-2027 (option for extension).

Project details

€110 to €120 per hour.

Grading of the function Engineer New Construction/Renovation 70.

Salary from €70836 to €96841 gross per year (scale FG70), based on a full-time employment. In addition, you will receive a fixed 13th month (holiday pay) and 14th month.

20 vacation days for a full-time employment. Want more days off? With your flexible choice budget, you can buy up to 27.5 extra vacation days.

Commuting costs: €0.23 per km.

A monthly home working allowance of €24.50 (net).

What will you do?

Within WarmtelinQ, this assignment focuses on process engineering for the physical and chemical processes surrounding the transport of heat via a hot water transport network and the transfer of heat.

The assignment will be carried out within various projects and in conjunction with different technical disciplines. The intended result is the development and delivery of solid engineering solutions from the field of process engineering.

The assignment initially focuses on the detailed design and preparations for commissioning within one of the sub-projects. In a later phase, activities for preliminary design and basic design may also be part of the assignment.

The assignment includes:

Participating in model reviews and safety studies, including HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL, and working out and completing the resulting actions.

Developing and delivering system and/or functional designs for hot water systems.

Developing process engineering packages for multidisciplinary new construction projects, in collaboration with the engineering firm.

Reviewing documentation for detailed designs.

Guiding process engineers from engineering firms in carrying out engineering work.

If necessary for the execution of the assignment, performing process calculations with Excel and simulation tools.

What do we ask?

A completed university degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of process engineering.

Experience with multidisciplinary new construction projects.

Sufficient command of the Dutch language to conduct conversations.

Willingness and ability to perform work at various WarmtelinQ locations.
