Senior Project Manager Area Development (secondment)

Project overview

As a senior project manager, you will lead various area development projects within the municipality of Velsen.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Guiding multiple area development projects from the initiation to the execution phase
• Drawing up and monitoring an overarching strategy per project
• Advising on the use of national and provincial regulations within (pilot) projects
• Thinking about more efficient working methods to accelerate housing construction
• Guiding market and municipal initiatives in various neighborhoods such as IJmuiden, Santpoort, Driehuis, and Velserbroek
• Managing multidisciplinary project teams
• Maintaining contact with stakeholders such as residents, developers, aldermen, and council members
• Completed relevant education at HBO+/WO level
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within complex area development projects, preferably gained in a municipal or governmental environment
• Current knowledge of laws and regulations in the field of area development
• Knowledge of project-based work and the ability to guide team members in this
• Strong analytical skills and excellent advisory skills
• Governmental sensitivity and strong in planning and control
• Strong connecting, proactive, and results-oriented attitude, with both tactical and strategic qualities
