Work Environment

The mission takes place within the financial department of a banking institution, as part of a transverse program dedicated to European regulatory reporting evolutions. You will interact with numerous teams: Finance, Standards, Data Office, Risk, IT, and Business.

The regulatory context is structuring: FINREP, IFRS 18, ESG prudential reporting, ESG Pillar 3, CRR 3, and BCBS 239 requirements. The projected implementation deadlines are set for 2027.

Terms

  • FINREP: evolution of regulatory financial statements, particularly the impacts of IFRS 18;
  • ESG: implementation of new prudential reporting and adaptation of associated data, methods, and processes.
  • Conduct a gap analysis between existing reports and expected requirements: statements, data, methodologies, production processes, and information systems.
  • Identify missing data, particularly non-financial data, as well as the need to improve its quality.
  • Investigate options for collecting, calculating, or estimating this data.
  • Facilitate workshops with Finance, Standards, Data Office, Risk, IT, and Business teams to clarify impacts, responsibilities, and dependencies.
  • Ensure consistency with BCBS 239 requirements, in collaboration with the relevant teams.
  • Assess the feasibility of evolutions by the projected 2027 deadlines, distinguishing between transitional solutions, target solutions, and work requiring additional phases.
  • Build a roadmap detailing the projects, priorities, milestones, constraints, and necessary trade-offs.
  • Identify risks of non-compliance with regulatory requirements and prepare their escalation to the competent bodies.
  • Define the integration of FINREP and ESG work into the existing governance and propose necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure monitoring of progress, risks, actions, and decisions.
  • Prepare committee materials and write minutes.
  • Scoping document and operational gap analysis.
  • Stakeholder and responsibility mapping.
  • Preliminary roadmap and feasibility analysis.
  • Governance materials, risk monitoring, and decision logs.
  • Mastery of scoping, project management, and PMO activities.
  • Ability to analyze a reporting chain: source data, transformations, controls, and production.
  • Experience in coordination between Finance, Risk, Data, and IT teams.
  • Ability to formalize analyses, document decisions, and produce structured deliverables.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and ability to advance subjects involving uncertainties.
  • Experience with FINREP and/or ESG prudential reporting.
  • Knowledge of IFRS 18, ESG Pillar 3, or CRR 3.
  • Practice with data quality, traceability, and governance issues, particularly in a BCBS 239 context.
