Senior SAP Consultant – Archiving / JiVS

Project overview

As part of an S/4HANA transformation program, our client is looking for a Senior Technical-Functional SAP Consultant with cross-functional expertise in the SAP ecosystem and solid knowledge of archiving and historical data management issues.

The mission takes place in an environment where certain non-migrated historical data remains accessible via a JiVS archiving platform. Standard and specific "hybrid" reports allow for the joint use of data in S/4HANA and archived data.

The main challenge will be to support business departments in expressing their needs and guide them towards best practices, prioritizing archiving and consultation of historical data over their migration into S/4HANA when relevant.

Missions:

The consultant will work transversally between the business, SAP, and archiving teams. Their main responsibilities will be:

Gathering, analyzing, and challenging the needs of different business domains.

Supporting users with their needs for consulting, updating, or exploiting historical data.

Explaining the archiving principles adopted within the program and the functioning of JiVS.

Guiding business departments towards SAP best practices regarding historical data management.

Understanding the mechanisms associated with hybrid S/4HANA / JiVS reports and facilitating communication with technical teams.

Supporting users in adopting new ways of working.

Participating in change management for various business populations.

Ensuring the link between business, SAP, migration, and archiving teams.

Contributing to ensuring operational continuity after Go-Live.

Profile Sought

• Significant experience in complex and cross-functional SAP environments.
• Good understanding of the SAP / S/4HANA ecosystem.
• Expertise or solid experience in SAP archiving, historical data, and migration issues.
• Experience with the JiVS solution is a real asset.
• Technical background enabling understanding of interactions between S/4HANA, JiVS, and hybrid reports.
• Ability to understand and challenge functional needs from different business domains.
• Strong communication, teaching, and influencing skills with business stakeholders.
• Experience in change management and user adoption.
• Ability to work in a transversal role and coordinate stakeholders with varied needs.
• Excellent posture, autonomy, and ability to be quickly operational.
