Jobbeschreibung
Alliander Business Platforms is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to coach teams, Product Owners, and the ART towards greater ownership, predictability, and measurable results. The role involves identifying and addressing impediments, fostering self-sufficiency, and actively contributing to the Agile community within the context of the energy transition.
Project overview
Senior Scrum Master – Business Platforms
Within Alliander Business Platforms, we have built a professional and valuable Agile community. The next step is clear: more ownership, more predictability, and demonstrable results. We want to grow into an organization where teams not only collaborate effectively but also actually deliver what is needed. For this, we are looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master who doesn't just stand on the sidelines. Someone who keenly sees what a team, Product Owner, and ART need, takes initiative, and addresses issues when progress, collaboration, or ownership lags.
You coach where it helps and are clear where it's necessary. You dare to confront, ask sharp questions, and help teams turn agreements into results.
The energy transition is impossible without you as a Senior Scrum Master
As a Senior Scrum Master, you help teams, Product Owners, and the ART to deliver value ever more effectively. You look beyond just executing Agile events or following a framework. You focus on results, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement. You see where teams get stuck and don't wait for someone else to solve the problem. You create movement, make patterns visible, and hold people accountable for agreements made and responsibilities. You know when to coach, when to facilitate, and when it's necessary to take a firm stance.
You work from your experience with SAFe, Scrum, DevOps, and/or Kanban, among others, but never see Agile as an end in itself. Ultimately, it's about the question: does our way of working help us achieve better results and deliver value faster?
As a Senior Scrum Master:
You will be given a lot of room to take initiative yourself. We also expect you to seize that opportunity.
Your environment
You will join ART VMK (Safety, Environment, and Quality) within Business Platforms. This is a young ART that is fully developing and consists of almost 50 colleagues, divided into 8 teams. This means not everything is yet crystallized. Precisely because of this, we are looking for someone who gets energy from an environment where there is still something to build. Someone who doesn't wait for perfect preconditions but creates clarity with others, initiates improvements, and helps to actually realize them. At the same time, you are part of a Chapter with other Agile professionals.
There, you will further develop the profession, share experiences, and contribute to the professionalization of Agile working within Business Platforms.
You make the difference
For this role, we are explicitly looking for an experienced Scrum Master with seniority in behavior and action. You are able to recognize different interests and maintain direction at the same time. You build relationships but are not dependent on consensus to get moving. You dare to put a different observation on the table and can handle resistance without losing connection. We are looking for someone who can switch between people and results: someone who understands that sustainable performance arises from good collaboration, but also that good collaboration must ultimately be visible in what a team achieves.
You also bring:
You complete it at Alliander
Alliander consists of various companies. Together with Liander, Qirion, Qterra, DEP, Firan, and Entrnce, we develop and manage the energy network for millions of residents in the Netherlands. The energy transition demands a lot from our organization. Digitalization plays an important role in this. Within Business Platforms, professionals work daily on the digital solutions and platforms needed to make this change possible. We like good ideas and give professionals room for initiative.
Therefore, we expect you not only to perform your role well but also to think along, take initiative, and contribute to how we can improve as an organization.
Together we make the grid better
Are you an experienced Scrum Master who looks beyond the process? Who helps teams become independent, takes initiative, and also dares to take a stand when necessary? And do you want to use your experience in an organization that is at the heart of the energy transition? Then we would like to meet you.
