We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join a major technology transformation programme within the UK public sector.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in a complex, high-profile programme focused on technology separation, cyber security, infrastructure modernisation and operational resilience.

You'll work alongside programme leaders and technical specialists, turning complex business and technical requirements into clear, actionable delivery plans.

If you're a seasoned Technical BA with strong Microsoft technology exposure and a background in local government transformation, we'd love to hear from you.

• Leading requirements gathering workshops with technical and business stakeholders.
• Translating complex requirements into well-defined Jira epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery backlogs.
• Supporting technology transformation across infrastructure, networks, cyber security, cloud and data.
• Managing dependencies, risks and end-to-end requirements traceability.
• Supporting programme planning, governance, procurement and delivery readiness.
• Working closely with multiple technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, prioritised and documented.
• 8+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst on complex technology transformation programmes.
• UK local government experience, ideally supporting transformation or migration projects within councils or local authorities.
• Strong technical exposure to the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
• Excellent Jira, backlog management, epic definition and requirements traceability skills.
• Experience across infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, networks or data transformation.
• Confident stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and documentation skills.
• Experience working within structured Agile or hybrid programme environments.
• BPSS/SC clearance eligibility is essential (you don't need to hold this now, but will be willing and able to pass the checks).
• Duration: Initial 6 months, with potential to extend
• Start: Early November 2026
• Location: Central London, with on-site attendance as required
