Senior Test Automation Engineer – UI and API Frameworks

Warsaw-based opportunity, hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office).

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will work for our client, a leader in financial technology services, on a new client-facing portal for end investors (onboarding, AML/KYC, transactions, dashboards and reporting). You will build fully automated end-to-end test coverage for the portal UI and backend services, enabling scalable growth and continuous delivery. This is a long-term program, and you will join a new Scrum team at the very beginning of the build.

Responsibilities

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks at UI and API levels, with the goal of end-to-end test automation across the portal.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous regression coverage and quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product and operations partners to identify test coverage gaps and edge cases early, in a test-driven (TDD) way of working.
• Analyze test failures and defects, working with developers to resolve issues quickly.
• Manage test data and environment stability to maximize automated testing efficiency.
• Report on test coverage, quality metrics, and release readiness to stakeholders.
• 5+ years of experience in test automation within an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, ideally Playwright (Cypress or Selenium also considered).
• Solid experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
• Working knowledge of Java or .NET / JavaScript for writing and maintaining automation code (Java is a plus).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized test environments.
• Experience testing client-facing web applications or portals, ideally with end-user flows such as onboarding, authentication and transactions.
