Note: To replace maternity leave, a tester is needed who can fulfill the role for 8 months within the Creative team.

Assignment Description

For our client Justitiële Informatiedienst, we are looking for a Senior Tester.

At the Justitiële Gegevens en Rechtshulp (JGenR) department, four DevOps teams work. Three of these teams work on both the management and new development of the Justitieel Documentatie Systeem (JDS). The new development is approached component by component in accordance with the Justid Technical Realization Architecture (TRA). Development takes place in Java and Angular, and the software runs on Rancher. The automated regression tests are developed using the Robot Framework, which are integrated into the Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.

From the team, the need has arisen for an additional software tester who is responsible for, on the one hand, maintaining and managing the existing regression tests and, on the other hand, developing automated tests for new projects.

The teams of the JGenR department strive for the DevOps way of working. Team members are expected to pick up other sprint activities besides their core competencies when requested.

Background Assignment

Team Creative consists of 7 team members, including 2 testers, 3 developers, a functional administrator, and an information analyst. They strive for a high degree of automation to minimize the maintenance burden on their applications.

The team works in a hybrid manner, with Tuesday being the fixed working day at the office in Almelo (the team meets more often at the office when necessary and upon request). Working agile using the Scrum methodology is the standard.

Every other week, on Tuesdays, a sprint change takes place where they inform stakeholders about the developments of the past sprint together with the Product Owner. Additionally, during the sprint change, they critically review and reflect on the preceding sprint so that the team can identify motivators and impediments and adapt accordingly.

Requirements

Minimum HBO work and thinking level test management

Extensive experience with back- and frontend test automation

Experience with back- and frontend test automation using automated testing tools

Certified in ISTQB Foundation or TMAP

Experience with back- and frontend test automation using automated testing tools (5 years)

Demonstrable experience with Robot Framework (front- and backend) (3 years)

Minimum HBO work and thinking level test management (10 years)

You have experience with Agile teams according to Scrum

You have at least 10 years of experience as a tester

You have at least 5 years of experience with back- and frontend test automation using automated testing tools

You have experience setting up regression tests in Robot Framework

You have at least 3 years of demonstrable experience with Robot Framework (front- and backend)

Additional Information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients through a blocked account, the G-rekening. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is located in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-rekening from the Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-rekening (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) quarterly. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the correctness, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.
