Assignment description

For our client Justitiële Informatiedienst, we are looking for a Senior Tester. Four DevOps teams work within the Justitiële Gegevens en Rechtshulp (JGenR) department. Three of these teams work on both the management and new development of the Justitieel Documentatie Systeem (JDS). The new development is being tackled component by component in accordance with the Justid Technical Realization Architecture (TRA). Development takes place in Java and Angular, and the software runs on Rancher. The automated regression tests are developed using the Robot Framework, which are integrated into the Jenkins CI/CD pipeline.

From within the team, the need has arisen for an additional software tester who will be responsible for, on the one hand, maintaining and managing the existing regression tests and, on the other hand, developing automated tests for new projects. The teams within the JGenR department strive for the DevOps way of working. Team members are expected to take on other sprint tasks besides their 'core competence' when requested.

Background of the assignment

Team Creative consists of 7 team members: 2 testers, 3 developers, a functional administrator, and an information analyst. They strive for a high degree of automation to minimize the maintenance burden on their applications. The team works in a hybrid manner, with Tuesday being the fixed workday at the office in Almelo (the team convenes at the office more often if necessary and upon request). Working agile using the Scrum methodology is the standard. Every two weeks, on Tuesdays, a sprint change takes place where they inform stakeholders about the developments of the past sprint together with the Product Owner.

Additionally, during the sprint change, they critically review and reflect on the preceding sprint so that the team can identify motivators and impediments and adapt accordingly.

Requirements

Certified in ISTQB Foundation or TMAP

Experience with test automation of back- and frontend using automated testing tools (5 years)

Demonstrable experience with Robot Framework (front- and backend) (3 years)

Minimum HBO work and thinking level in test management (10 years)

• Technical knowledge regarding load and performance tests in, for example, JMeter
• You have experience with creating and executing SQL queries
• You have knowledge of continuous integration and experience with tools like Jenkins
• Knowledge of EBMS and JMS
• Minimum HBO work and thinking level
• You are certified in ISTQB Foundation or TMAP
