Project overview

The Ministry of Defence supports the national government in policy formation, legislation, and the execution of public responsibilities within its own policy area. The administrative organization combines substantive policy knowledge with legal, financial, and organizational expertise within the Ministry of Defence. The subjects of the Ministry of Defence are rarely solved by a single organization.

• As a ship coordinator KBW, you coordinate the execution of maintenance and modification activities on-site.
• You monitor the progress of these activities.
• You advise and assist in the proper preparation and evaluation of maintenance and modification activities.
• You independently realize small, single projects and contracts.
• You oversee aspects of safety and environment.
• The candidate has at least 6 years of demonstrable experience as a ship coordinator/project employee in a technically complex maritime environment. The experience consists of: Coordinating the execution of maintenance activities on-site. Monitoring the progress of maintenance activities on-site. Overseeing safety and environmental aspects.
• The candidate has at least 3 years of demonstrable experience working as a project employee/ship coordinator in the integral outsourcing of work, including the use of a fleet management system.
• The candidate has a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
• The candidate possesses a VCA-VOL certificate at the start of the work.
• The available working hours per week are at least 36 hours, excluding vacation leave, public holidays, and the like, with a maximum of 9 hours per working day.
• Knowledge and experience For the execution of the function, knowledge and experience of Defense are required. We wish you to have demonstrable experience within a Defense organization.
• Knowledge and experience You have more than 6 years of demonstrable experience working as a project employee/ship coordinator with a fleet management system in the integral outsourcing of work.
• Knowledge and experience You have at least 10 years of demonstrable experience working as a project employee/ship coordinator in a technically complex maritime environment: The experience consists of: Coordinating the execution of maintenance activities on-site. Monitoring the progress of maintenance activities on-site. Overseeing safety and environmental aspects.
• Knowledge and experience You have more than 3 years of demonstrable experience working within the project context of maintaining vessels within the Royal Netherlands Navy.
• SAP experience You have at least 3 years of demonstrable experience working with SAP in a material logistics environment.
