Software Asset Manager

Project overview

We are looking for a Software Asset Manager for a 3-month renewable mission in Paris.

As part of the Governance and Repository entity, within the SI Strategy, Architecture and Cloud Directorate, one of the domain's missions is to manage SAM (Software Asset Management) processes, the main activities of which are as follows:

• Facilitate the Software Asset Management processes implemented at the client's site
• Support the 150 Asset Managers (product managers) of the DSIN in their relationships with their suppliers and the monitoring of the assets for which they are responsible.
• Contribute to strategy definition through analysis of the existing situation and recommendations for action.
• Coordinate with suppliers in the event of audits to ensure the effectiveness of the compliance verification process.

Project details

Produce and facilitate SAM risk monitoring meetings (4 per year) and produce Reporting for DSIN directors on each of their areas.

An experienced and operational profile is expected for immediate mission execution.

Expected skills are:

Travel between sites (Le Mans, Saran, Niort) is to be expected.

• Control license usage, based on inventory, to ensure compliance of exploited assets and propose contractual evolutions (SAM Verification and Compliance Process)
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of the SAM repository, inventory of products and acquired licenses, contractual data and their usage, etc.
• Plan compliance reviews and initiate them (scheduled, periodic reviews, upon requests for internal or publisher audits)
• Develop compliance plans following internal or publisher audits
• Support Product Asset Managers in declaring license elements in repositories and in their usage inventory actions.
• Facilitate the Asset Managers community through Viva Engage communications, Webinars and produce documentation related to SAM tools.
• Knowledge of enterprise repository governance and associated challenges.
• Knowledge of company purchasing processes
• Legal knowledge and an understanding of software contracts and their operational impacts
• Collaboration and communication skills to adapt to your audience.
• Mastery of IT collaboration, productivity, and project management tools.
