Project overview
Software Engineer - Java/Node
For our client in Krakow, we are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Java and/or Node (ideally both 😎), to design, build and maintain internal tooling that supports Future State Architecture, FSA initiatives across CTO Platforms and develop backend services and APIs + integrate apps with PostreSQL and other enterprise data sources.
To be successful in this role you should have
contract: This is a freelance role with an initial 6 month contract + possibility of extensions

- Strong software engineering expertise using Nodejs andor Java
- Experience designing and developing enterprise backend services and APIs
- Strong PostgreSQL experience including data modelling and query optimisation
- Experience with modern JavaScriptTypeScriptbased UI frameworks
- Knowledge of Agentic AI and Autonomous AI Agent orchestration
- Experience implementing MCP Model Context Protocol
- Experience with Tool Calling and Function Calling integration patterns
- Strong API Design and Integration experience
- Solution Design and Architecture experience for enterprise platforms and tooling
- Strong understanding of Production Engineering practices including
- Security
- Resilience
- Performance
- Observability
- Automated Testing
- Experience building internal engineering platforms and developer tooling
