Contract role in Västerås to define and drive a global Software Asset Management (SAM) / License Management strategy, governance and controls. The consultant will lead the end-to-end software license lifecycle (entitlements, usage, demand, renewals and optimization), own compliance and audit readiness (reconciliations, license positions, risk remediation), manage key vendor licensing relationships and support commercial/terms discussions with Sourcing and Legal, and ensure high-quality data and effective use of SAM tooling such as ServiceNow SAM Pro (or equivalent) including reporting and automation.
Requirements
- Software Asset Management (SAM) / License Management strategy and governance
- End-to-end software license lifecycle management (entitlements, usage, demand, renewals, optimization)
- License compliance management and audit readiness
- License reconciliation and Effective License Position (ELP) / license position management
- Risk identification and remediation related to licensing
- Vendor licensing management and interpretation of licensing terms
- SAM tool ownership and data quality management (ServiceNow SAM Pro or equivalent)
- Reporting and process automation for license management
- Cross-functional stakeholder management with Sourcing/Procurement, Legal, Finance, IS/IT and business stakeholders
