€ 123,- per hour Number of hours: 36 hours per week As a Solution Architect, you will guide the creation of complex ICT solutions for customer needs and change initiatives within SSC-ICT. You will work on multiple assignments simultaneously, bridging the gap between customer needs, architectural frameworks, security, management, and technical realization. You will analyze complex issues and translate them into secure, future-proof, and executable ICT solutions that fit within the services and frameworks of SSC-ICT.

This involves looking integrally at applications, infrastructure, integrations, cloud and on-premise facilities, and their coherence with existing services. You will elaborate the chosen solution direction into a clear and usable High-Level Design (HLD) and, where applicable, a Project Start Architecture (PSA). As part of this, you will ensure a clear visual representation of the solution architecture, making it understandable for various stakeholders how the solution is structured and what interdependencies exist.

You will ensure that the solution aligns with applicable architectural principles, standards, security requirements, and other frameworks. You will also assess further technical elaborations and ensure they remain aligned with the chosen solution architecture. You will be involved early in complex customer needs and change initiatives. You will advise on possible solution directions, present alternatives, dependencies, and consequences, and reduce technical complexity to clear choices and decision points.

You will work closely with customers, project leaders and project managers, enterprise architects, system architects, security advisors, technical architects and specialists, product owners, administrators, and other involved disciplines. In doing so, you will connect different interests and perspectives and create support for the chosen architecture. You are responsible for:

• analyzing and translating complex customer needs into integrated ICT solutions;
• designing and describing solutions for applications, infrastructure, integrations, and cloud and on-premise environments;
• preparing and monitoring High-Level Designs and, where applicable, Project Start Architectures;
• preparing and keeping up-to-date a clear visual representation of the solution architecture;
• ensuring that solutions align with architectural principles, standards, security requirements, and other applicable frameworks;
• assessing technical elaborations and monitoring alignment with the chosen solution architecture;
• advising on complex customer needs and participating in intakes and decision-making on solution directions;
• coordinating architectural choices with customers, architects, security advisors, project management, and technical teams;
• creating awareness and support for architecture within the organization and sharing knowledge and experience within the field. You are analytical and structured, maintain an overview of multiple complex assignments, and possess sufficient technical depth to substantively assess solution directions and technical elaborations. At the same time, you are capable of advising at a tactical level. You are confident, dare to provide direction, and are a substantive sparring partner for customers, project management, architects, and technical specialists. Business Unit Application Services The Application Services Business Unit (BAS) helps ministries support their work processes digitally and automate them where possible. BAS advises on, implements, and manages applications and application services that play an important role in our customers' daily operations. The services are broad and range from content management, business intelligence, and service management to integrations, application platforms, and other customer-specific applications. We work on both existing services and the renewal and modernization of application landscapes. Specializations Team The assignment will be carried out within the Specializations team, part of the Projects & Specializations department. The team consists of over 30 colleagues, including technical project leaders, solution architects, security advisors, and other specialized roles. The team works on customer requests and ICT projects across the full spectrum of BAS services. This involves intensive collaboration with customers, clients, project leaders and project managers, architects, product owners, technical specialists, management organizations, and other teams and business units within SSC-ICT. The work is performed in a professional and informal work environment, where independence, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and clear coordination are important. Work is performed hybrid, partly at the office and partly from home. Requirement
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect (or similar role).
• Experience with application architecture in complex and large ICT environments. Desired
