Solution Architect (Workday Learning & HR Transformation)- 6 months | Reading/Dublin, UK (Hybrid - 3 days/week in office)

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a leading international fashion retailer on a 6-month hybrid contract. You will design and govern end-to-end solutions that deliver business value and align with the wider enterprise architecture, working as part of the delivery team and acting as the bridge between business needs and technical execution. This role focuses on the Workday Learning platform and wider Workday transformation. The contract is hybrid in Reading or Dublin, with 3 days per week on-site.

Responsibilities

What You Will Ideally Bring:

• Lead the end-to-end design of technical solutions that meet business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Lead architectural governance during delivery: design guardrails, standards, forums and low-level design oversight
• Own the Workday Learning architecture: data, integrations, SSO/MFA access and the target-state colleague journey
• Design learning access patterns for shared retail devices, kiosks and frontline colleagues
• Own Workday architecture blueprints for regional deployments, including a German rollout
• Define integration patterns between Workday, identity platforms and enterprise services
• Lead archiving, retention and decommissioning of Legacy learning platforms
• Document blueprints, key design decisions and reusable patterns, and engage vendors and other architecture domains
• 8+ years in technology, including 5+ years designing enterprise-scale solutions
• Strong solution architecture principles and frameworks (TOGAF)
• Workday architecture experience, ideally Workday Learning
• Identity and access management: SSO, MFA, Entra ID, SailPoint
• Integration architecture and API-led design
• HR, learning and talent technology ecosystems, and large-scale HR transformation
• Retail workforce and frontline colleague technology experience (desirable)
