Assignment Description

The assignment concerns the deployment of a senior administrator within a technical application management team. The candidate is responsible for designing, developing, managing, and optimizing complex ICT components within the existing architecture and infrastructure. The candidate will translate functional requirements into technical solutions, assess the impact of changes, and monitor the coherence, quality, and operation of applications and systems.

Additionally, the candidate will analyze and resolve complex disruptions, coordinate testing and implementations, and advise on technical improvements and lifecycle adjustments. The candidate will also contribute to research, knowledge sharing, and the subject matter guidance of fellow administrators and designers.

• Develop architecture and frameworks Translate functional requirements into functional and technical designs, documentation, and measures. Translate non-standard assignments into assignment plans and required capacities and skills. Participate in impact analyses and projects and be responsible for complex external and heavy internal assignments.
• Check technical design Check impact and risk analyses, advise the technically responsible person, and monitor the implementation, acceptance, and standardization of ICT components. Align ICT building blocks with other systems and applications.
• Develop and manage ICT components Build, adapt, and test components, including test scenarios and reports. Monitor coherence, advise based on test results, resolve third-line problems, analyze disruptions, and initiate modifications and lifecycle adjustments.
• Conduct research into ICT building blocks Conduct research into the technical consequences of application packages, optimize existing ICT building blocks, and provide guidelines and advice on their use.
• Guide designers and administrators Share subject matter expertise and developments, guide complex issues, and act as a point of contact.

Requirements/Wishes

Candidate preferably has demonstrable work experience within the Ministry of Defence.

Candidate preferably has HBO/WO work and thinking level, preferably a completed education in ICT or computer engineering or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Candidate preferably has at least 4 years of experience with application hosting on Microsoft platforms.

Candidate preferably has at least 4 years of experience with modern Enterprise IT infrastructure.

Candidate preferably has at least 3 years of knowledge and experience of Gitlab DevSecOps.

Candidate preferably has at least 3 years of knowledge and experience in working with Powershell.

Candidate preferably has knowledge of, and interest in, automating and standardizing tasks.

Candidate preferably has knowledge and experience of working with Ansible (including AWX/AAP).

Candidate preferably has knowledge and experience in working in an AGILE environment.

Candidate preferably has demonstrable work experience with Windows.
