Structural Engineer

Project overview

The assignment includes advising on the structural safety of building plans and existing structures for the municipality.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Reviewing building plans and existing structures for structural safety
• Documenting findings and points of attention from the assessments
• Preparing legally founded advice, including any measures and follow-up steps
• Consulting with structural engineers, architects, applicants, and permit holders regarding the assessments and advice
• Answering substantive questions and supporting colleagues in the area of structural safety
• Providing clear information and education to clients, residents, and other stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in construction engineering
• At least 2 years of experience as a structural engineer at a municipality in the last 5 years
• Availability by December 1, 2026, at the latest, for 24 hours per week
• Diploma or course 'Steel and concrete' is a plus
• At least 6 years of experience in the last 10 years with reviewing building plans for structural safety within a municipal organization is a plus
• Experience with the Powerbrowser program in the last 3 years is a plus
• At least 3 years of experience advising internal stakeholders such as structural engineers, architects, applicants, and permit holders is a plus
