Supervisor Tree Contracts

Project overview

You will independently conduct management and supervise the execution of tree contracts in accordance with the UAV and the agreed contractual terms.

You will supervise pruning maintenance on trees, felling and planting trees, watering trees, and mowing activities.

You will monitor the execution and control of the assignment and ensure that work is carried out according to contractual agreements and specifications.

You will identify deviations, risks, and points of attention in a timely manner and document them.

You will substantively and contractually handle findings within the specifications.

You will substantively handle notifications regarding public space (MOR) within the field of trees, as far as they relate to the assignment.

Who are you?

You bring specialist knowledge and experience in the field of management, supervision, tree contracts, and the UAV. Within the agreed frameworks, you independently determine how you carry out the assignment and organize your own deployment, planning, and work.

There is no daily operational or hierarchical management.

Execution will take place at the relevant project locations, where necessary.

In the context of this assignment, you will not provide hierarchical leadership to employees of the client.

Alphen aan den Rijn is a municipality with more than 100,000 inhabitants in the heart of the Groene Hart. The colleagues at the municipality work towards leading service provision. The municipality currently has a great need for a supervisor with a passion for green in public spaces.

• Demonstrable knowledge of the 'Handboek Bomen' (Tree Manual), through a certificate as a data inspector, controller, or basic training
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience with management in the green sector
• Candidate possesses a driver's license (B)
• Demonstrably completed education at a minimum MBO4 level in the direction of Green / Civil Engineering with at least 1 additional course regarding tree maintenance
• Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable work experience with managing green maintenance, tree felling, planting, and pruning
• Possesses a BVC/VTA certificate
• Possesses a certificate for the Nature Protection Act Level 2
• You have demonstrable work experience with Tree Asset / Geo Visia
• Available by November 2026 at the latest for 36 hours per week
• You will supervise contracts for tree maintenance carried out by third parties, including felling and tree diseases.
• You will adequately handle inquiries, comments, and requests from residents.
