System Administrator (Linux / AWS / Kubernetes)

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator for our TITANS freelancers team for a long-term REMOTE project in the aviation sector.

Project requirements

• administration and operation of infrastructure built on Linux in combination with the AWS cloud environment
• configuration and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters, including network communication between them
• working with automation scripts (Bash, Terraform), their modification, extension, and optimization of existing solutions
• cooperation with the DevOps team (independent team) in the design and operation of infrastructure solutions
• administration of local Linux servers used for software development solutions
• support for migrating customers from on-premise environments to AWS
• ensuring the stability, availability, and security of the infrastructure
• orientation in a production environment with an emphasis on a responsible approach (working with data, databases, clusters)
• cooperation in a small team of system administrators
• cooperation possible in REMOTE mode or in a combined ON-SITE / REMOTE mode (according to freelancer's preferences)
• willingness to travel abroad exceptionally (1-2 times a year)
• min. 3 years of practical experience in the position of System Administrator and/or Infrastructure Administrator
• experience with:
• administration of Linux / UNIX operating systems
• AWS cloud environment and its practical use
• management of Kubernetes clusters
• advanced Bash scripting
• Terraform (working with and modifying existing scripts)
• experience with the following is an advantage:
• PostgreSQL and MongoDB administration (installation, basic configuration...)
• Ansible
• VMware vSphere, Proxmox
• Pacemaker and/or other cluster solutions
• Apache, NGINX, Apache Tomcat, WildFly (JBoss) servers
• Windows server administration and PowerShell scripting
• conversational knowledge of the English language (min. B1)
• ability to quickly orient oneself in a new environment
• excellent communication skills
• willingness to share know-how within the team
