Our client is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in a transformative modernisation programme. The organisation is replacing ageing on-premises systems with a cutting-edge cloud-native architecture within a greenfield AWS environment. Desirable Experience:

• Analysing and understanding existing Legacy systems and infrastructure.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define future-state requirements and translating them into scalable cloud solutions.
• Designing and building infrastructure within a greenfield AWS environment.
• Supporting the migration and replacement of Legacy applications with modern cloud-native services.
• Defining infrastructure architecture, standards, and operational approaches for new platforms.
• Building and supporting environments for data platforms, web-based applications, mapping and GIS tools, and microservices-based platforms.
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code and automation where appropriate.
• Ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and compliant with security requirements.
• Identifying technical challenges and providing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Driving operational excellence through monitoring, automation, and performance optimisation.
• A strong background in Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
• Hands-on experience designing and building AWS infrastructure and cloud-native solutions.
• Experience in modernising or migrating Legacy systems to cloud environments.
• A solid understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code practises.
• The ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders to gather and define requirements.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale platforms and applications.
