Project overview

Position: Tech Lead SRE

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role is strategic for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of production environments supporting a critical payment platform operating across Europe.

Working closely with development, architecture, production, and cybersecurity teams, you will help define the platform's reliability standards and support the teams in adopting SRE practices.

Responsibilities

Profile sought

• Ensure the availability, performance, and resilience of systems in line with SLO/SLA.
• Define and manage reliability indicators (SLI, SLO, Error Budgets).
• Design and evolve observability, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Automate deployments, operations, and infrastructure administration using Infrastructure as Code.
• Lead critical incidents, conduct root cause analyses (RCA) and post-mortems.
• Develop and maintain security controls (IAM, ACL, Firewall, VPN, IPSEC, secret management).
• Formalize architectures and contribute to exploitability and resilience reviews.
• Support development teams in improving the operational quality of applications.
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, DORA, ISO 27001, and IBM FS Cloud standards.
• Contribute to the skill development of SRE engineers and the dissemination of best practices.

Skills appreciated, or that you can acquire by joining us:

• Engineering degree or Master's in Computer Science.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Production Engineering.
• Significant experience with critical platforms requiring high availability and security.
• Solid understanding of reliability, observability, automation, and incident management issues.
• Recognized technical leadership and ability to work in complex environments.
• Fluent French (C2), Fluent English (C1/C2).
• Experience in payment, finance, or regulated environments is a plus.
• Languages: Terraform, Python, Bash, Helm, Ansible
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
• Security: cybersecurity best practices, mastery of OWASP-type repositories and SAST/DAST testing, ACL management
• Cloud: cloud experience, ideally IBM Cloud (VPC, OpenShift, IAM, HPCS, Monitoring, Logs, Secret Manager...)
• Communication: clarity in writing and speaking, collaborative work
• Complex problems: analytical and resolution skills in distributed environments
• Use of generative AI tools in a professional context.
• Experience with Claude or equivalent tools.
• Enthusiasm for using specialized agents and AI applied to SRE, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code activities.
• Ability to leverage AI to accelerate platform development, standardization, and operation.
• Associated technologies: PostgreSQL, Kafka, MongoDB, VSI RH Linux, Object Storage
• IBM Cloud SRE Certification
