Technical Business Analyst - MUST HAVE CURRENT VALID SC CLEARANCE

£500.00 per day | Outside IR35 | Initial 6-Month Contract | Hybrid - Reading, Berkshire

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a high-profile engineering programme within the defence sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded analyst with strong requirements engineering and systems engineering experience to contribute to complex software and systems development activities.

Please note: Due to the security requirements of this role, applicants must hold a sole British passport and have current, valid Security Check (SC) clearance. Candidates who do not meet both criteria cannot be considered.

The Role

As Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for defining, analysing, maintaining and governing system and software requirements throughout the engineering life cycle. You will ensure clear traceability from stakeholder needs through to implementation and verification, working closely with stakeholders, software development teams and systems engineering professionals.

• Capture, analyse, document and maintain system and software requirements.
• Manage requirements baselines and change requests.
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the engineering life cycle.
• Support requirements decomposition and allocation activities.
• Ensure alignment between stakeholder needs, technical requirements and implementation.
• Conduct impact assessments for proposed requirements changes.
• Coordinate with development and verification teams to ensure requirements remain consistent and up to date.
• Participate in requirements reviews, validation activities and traceability audits.
• Ensure compliance with requirements engineering processes and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to resolve requirements-related issues.
• Experience in Requirements Engineering and Systems Engineering.
• Strong requirements elicitation and management skills.
• Proven experience in requirements traceability and change control.
• Understanding of Systems Engineering principles.
• Experience using requirements management tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience within the aerospace and/or defence sectors.
• A bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Current, valid SC security clearance.
• Sole British passport.
• Experience working in regulated development environments.
• Knowledge of Model-Based Engineering.
• Familiarity with verification and validation processes.
• Experience with ArchiMate and/or TOGAF.
• DV security clearance would be advantageous.
