The Opportunity

La Fosse is supporting a major UK Government organisation undertaking a significant technology and infrastructure transformation programme.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support the modernisation and procurement of enterprise network services, working closely with technical, architectural, security and operational teams.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a complex, high-profile programme, helping translate business and technical requirements into clearly defined, measurable outcomes that will inform future technology solutions, supplier engagement and service delivery.

The role is predominantly remote, with occasional office attendance required.

• Gather, analyse and document technical requirements across infrastructure, networking, cloud, security and service management.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, technical leads and business stakeholders to define functional and non-functional requirements.
• Facilitate technical workshops covering network services, integration, performance, resilience, security and support models.
• Analyse existing technology environments, identifying technical constraints, dependencies, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop technical specifications, requirements catalogues, process flows, use cases and supporting documentation.
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability, ensuring alignment between business outcomes and technical deliverables.
• Support technology procurement activities, supplier engagement and evaluation of proposed solutions.
• Contribute to options analysis, business case development and technology transition planning.
• Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are measurable, testable and appropriately documented.
• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within complex IT infrastructure, cloud, networking or telecommunications programmes.
• Strong technical requirements gathering, analysis, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Good working knowledge of enterprise networking, cloud technologies, cyber security, systems integration and IT service management.
• Experience defining functional and non-functional requirements within complex technical environments.
• Ability to produce technical specifications, process models, use cases and requirements documentation.
• Experience working collaboratively with technical architects, engineers, security specialists and operational teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for different audiences.
• Experience with SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, cloud networking, telecommunications or managed network services.
• Knowledge of ITIL and IT service management principles.
• Exposure to technology procurement, supplier evaluation, commercial engagement or service transition.
• Previous experience delivering programmes within Central Government, Defence, Public Sector or other regulated environments.
• BCS Business Analysis certification or equivalent professional qualifications.
