Tester with Automation Experience - Level 3

Project overview

To our client, the Swedish Police Authority, we are looking for a consultant for the assignment below:

Assignment Description:

One of the Police's case management systems is to be replaced with self-developed system solutions. In the role of Tester, you will have the opportunity to contribute to well-functioning and quality-assured systems for the operations.

We are looking for Testers who can both quality assure the system through manual tests and develop and set up automated test cases.

The work is ongoing, and the plan is to implement the system replacement in stages over the next 1-2 years. The current system support is used daily by approximately 1,000 of the Police's employees, and all employees within the authority have access to the current system.

The assignment has been ongoing for 3 years, and you will work in a team with driven project managers, developers, and technical specialists who work agilely close to the operations. The assignment involves planning and implementing new IT solutions according to the operational needs, based on a microservice-oriented architecture and applications developed in Java. The assignment also includes planning and migrating information from the current system to new IT solutions or other already existing systems within the police. An exciting journey that affects both citizens and users internally within the Police.

Meritorious Competence (Should-haves):

Start Date: 01 Feb 2027 or as soon as possible after approved background check

End Date: 31 Dec 2027

Option for extension: 31 Dec 2028, the Swedish Police Authority may utilize all or part of the option period.

Security Process:

The Swedish Police Authority places high demands on the consultant's security and confidentiality awareness. A security assessment with a background check and the signing of a security protection agreement according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may be carried out by the consultant or the consultant's employer before the Assignment Agreement can take effect. The security assessment is financed by the subcontractor. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required.

Financial Control:

To ensure stability, the supplier must submit a financial background check via UC showing the company's risk class. If a subcontractor (UL) is hired, a separate check must also be attached for them. All certificates submitted for verification must not be older than three months from the last application day.

Bid Evaluation: (Ework makes the selection)

Ework will make an initial selection and present bids to the client for final evaluation.

Interview:

The consultant/supplier may be called for an interview if necessary to establish qualification requirements.

Contractual Terms:

The terms for the assignment will be based on Ework's framework agreement with the client. Please refer to the terms in the attachment "Swedish Police Authority's Supplier Agreement", see "Documents/Links".

• The consultant must have at least 4 years of documented experience working as a quality assurance tester in IT departments of larger organizations.
• The consultant must have at least 2 years of documented experience in creating and maintaining automated tests. The experience must have been acquired in the last 6 years.
• The consultant must have at least 2 years of experience with the automation tool Cypress or another tool that the Police considers equivalent.
• The consultant must have experience with test plugin tools for Jira, e.g., Zephyr or another tool that the Police considers equivalent.
• The consultant must have a good ability to express themselves verbally and in writing in Swedish.
• The consultant must have at least 4 years of practical experience in development and quality assurance in an agile way of working.
• The consultant should have experience working within security-classified operations.
• The consultant should have experience working with Case Management Systems.
• The consultant should have completed ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• The consultant should have held the role of Tester in larger public authorities. The total experience in the role of Tester in larger public authorities should be at least 2 years. The experience should have been acquired in the last 6 years.
