Job Summary: Fusion People are seeking an experienced Working Supervisor/Ganger to lead a civil engineering gang project in Melksham. The successful candidate will oversee the safe delivery of civils works while remaining hands-on and actively involved in site operations.

The project includes alterations to existing cable troughs, construction of vehicle crossings, concreting works, bollard installation, and reinstatement activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a supervisor with substation experience looking for long-term work, with additional projects expected to follow.

• Supervising and coordinating site operatives to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
• Leading daily site activities while maintaining a hands-on approach
• Ensuring compliance with National Grid procedures and site safety requirements
• Managing work around existing services and within an operational substation environment
• Cable trough alterations

• Conducting site briefings and maintaining high health & safety standards
• Liaising with the principal contractor, site management team, and project stakeholders
• Current National Grid Competent Person (CP) Authorisation for substation works
• Valid SSSTS qualification
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate
• Proven experience supervising civil engineering works
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work safely within a high-voltage environment
• Previous experience delivering National Grid infrastructure projects
• Extensive civils background including ducting, concrete works, and reinstatement
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team
