1032: Civil Engineering Route and Execution Planning Specialist in Berlin

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Route and Execution Planning Specialist in Civil Engineering to support a demanding infrastructure project in the energy sector, starting immediately.

You will play a central role on the planning side and be responsible for the technical planning, coordination, and quality assurance of routes within a long-term project.

Responsibilities

• Management of commissioned route planning service providers and coordination of relevant interfaces, particularly with environmental planning, right-of-way law, subsoil, unexploded ordnance management, and archaeology
• Development of rough and detailed route planning as well as creation of execution planning, including support of construction execution and change management
• Independent technical quality assurance as well as creation and review of test regulations and planning standards
• Preparation and execution of route planning and coordination meetings with authorities and other stakeholders
• Creation of documents required for the planning approval procedure according to § 21 NABEG
• Creation of tender documents for planning and service scopes as well as participation in awarding
• Support of quality, risk, cost, and schedule management as well as participation in HSE monitoring
• Review, evaluation, and optimization of the detailed route considering logistical requirements, suitable laying techniques, and electrical engineering aspects in coordination with suppliers and specialist planners

Requirements

Framework Data

• Completed engineering degree, for example in Civil Engineering, or a completed technician training in construction technology with at least 5 years of professional experience in route planning
• Sound knowledge in construction, ideally in the planning of linear infrastructures such as high and extra-high voltage lines, railway lines, motorways, pipelines, or industrial plants
• At least 2 years of practical experience in infrastructure projects
• Experience in route planning, design, and execution planning as well as in the technical coordination of various trades and project participants
• Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (B2) in speaking and writing
• Valid, unrestricted work permit for the EU
• Knowledge of the legal and technical framework conditions of the energy industry as well as the requirements according to § 21 NABEG are advantageous
• Experience with high-voltage cable technology in the AC/DC sector from 320 kV as well as in design and execution planning is desirable
• Confident use of MS Office; knowledge of MS Project, iTWO, and SAP and project management tools are advantageous

Project details

at least 3 days on-site in Berlin and 2 days remote

Utilization: Full-time

Immediately

At least 6 months, with the option of extension upon mutual interest

Work model: At least 3 days per week on-site, the remaining days can be remote
