Business Analyst Payments - 60-80%

Responsibilities

For our client, a Swiss bank, we are looking for a Business Analyst with sound experience in Swiss and international payment transactions. You will support the analysis and further development of payment processes and contribute your expertise in an agile project environment.

• Analysis, collection, and documentation of business requirements in the area of Retail Payments and/or Interbank Payments.
• Analysis and optimization of end-to-end payment processing: from payment initiation through validation, routing, clearing, and settlement to booking and reconciliation.
• Translation of business requirements into actionable specifications in close cooperation with business units and IT.
• Support for the further development of payment transaction platforms, payment engines, and bank interfaces.
• Consideration of regulatory requirements, especially compliance, sanctions screening, AML, and fraud prevention.
• Participation in agile project teams and contribution of current developments in national and international payment transactions.

Requirements

• Professional-level experience, ideally three to five years as a Business Analyst or Product Owner at a bank, financial service provider, or in financial services consulting.
• Sound experience in Swiss and international payment transactions, especially Retail Payments and/or Interbank Payments.
• Good knowledge of the Swiss payment infrastructure, especially SIC (RTGS), SIC Instant Payments, and Swiss Payment Standards (SPS).
• Sound knowledge of SEPA, SWIFT, and Cross-Border Payments.
• Good knowledge of ISO 20022 and the message formats pain, pacs, and camt.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end payment processing and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience with payment transaction platforms, payment engines, and bank interfaces such as EBICS.
• Project experience in an agile environment and knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Certification as Scrum Product Owner, IREB CPRE, or comparable qualification.
• Fluent German language skills.
• Residence in Switzerland and willingness for temporary employment for project deployment.
